Sunday Roast
Sundays are busy and bustling at The Crown with many locals and visitors alike booking tables for their Sunday lunch. All home made, nothing from a packet and bursting with great flavour. Fires roaring on wet and soggy days and a gentle buzz of people eating their lunch together. What more could you ask for! Served from 12 until 7.30pm and including Summer Roasts from 1st June with salad and baby potatoes for something lighter
Starters
We have a small selection of starters on Sundays, (lets face it, everyone is so keen to jump right in with their delicious roast!) but these usually include a home made soup or pate with prices starting from £9
Main Course
We have a selection of 3 roasts to tantalise your taste buds and these may change with the seasons. We always serve Cornish grass fed beef and Cornish pork but we also like to source locally reared lamb or venison and game when possible. Our Roast Dinner is served with all the trimmings including Ange's homemade Yorkshires, Colwith Farm potatoes and a selection of vegetables The home made gravy is a work of art and much complimented! We also always have a vegetarian option which includes vegetarian gravy and we can serve a fully vegan meal if requested. As a guide, the price for a Roast beef dinner is £17.50. We highly recommend booking a table if you want to dine between 12 and 3pm as these tables are regularly snapped up in advance. Doggies welcome although again, please book as these tables are limited.
Desserts
We offer a good selection of desserts on a Sunday ranging from seasonal crumble and cheesecakes to a selection of Callestick Cornish icecreams. Prices are £7.50 for a starter and £2 a scoop for icecream
